About Me

Travel

In July 2020 I backpacked the John Muir Trail (~250 miles with sections of HSR) in 18 days.  In July 2017 I studied abroad in Chile. During this time I traveled by bus through Patagonia from Punta Arenas to Santiago in 10 days. Making it to the airport in time was a miracle.  With my kung-fu school I was fortunate enough to tour China for two weeks in 2015 seeing many incredible places, especially the Potala Palace in Tibet. With the Scouts of America I have hiked glaciers in Alaska, Scuba Dived in Cozumel, and backpacked numerous slot canyons in Utah.  Currently, I am living and working at a yoga and mediation center, and maintain a food forest, run by family friends in Hawaii.

Activities

As a typical Coloradan, I backpack, rock climb (sport, bouldering,  and dabbled in ice), snowboard, and sometimes ski. Preferably, I'll be backpacking off-trail or deep in a slot canyon with no other humans around. I enjoy playing soccer, tennis, and, most of all, ultimate (frisbee).  Finally,  I meditate, have a 2nd-black belt in Kung-Fu, and sometimes jam on the saxophone.
